Habit 4 of 5 Habits for Happiness

"Happiness is an inside job"

Quiet your mind

Do you meditate? If so, that's great and I would recommend that you continue right on with your daily meditation practice.

If you don't meditate on a regular basis and especially if the thought of sitting down for ages and struggling to make your thoughts stop then you are going to be real happy about what I have to say here.

Quieting your mind will allow that small inner voice to be heard so that you can choose to listen to it or not, although I wouldn't ever not listen to it as it somehow always tells me the right thing.

So here we go, we are going to do this easy...no sitting down for an hour in one position, breathing deeply until we are dizzy and getting all cramped up.

Here is a very small meditation to get you started. My voice will guide you through what I do.

And just so you know this is what I do.

I get into my comfy chair and relax, making sure that I'm sitting up straight and then I take a few deepish breaths in and out, then I let myself get into my normal breathing rythym and I start to count my breaths in.

Ok, we're back. Easy yes?

So all you should do now is continue this small breath count for 10 to 15 minutes each day. Go to it!

See you next week when I expect you will be so light that we will have to tie you to your chair.

Next is Habit 5 - Happiness found in a JOYgasm...and no, we will not tolerate any of that giggling in the back of the room
